Extension & building permit drawings - Hjärup
For this project, I designed an elegant extension that creates a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. The new space serves as a light-filled gathering place for family activities, weekend relaxation and social events, while opening onto an outdoor swimming pool that we designed to complement the villa's garden setting.
The villa itself is a newly built property with a generous garden, located in a town near Lund. Our design prioritized natural light and ventilation, which was achieved through large folding glass doors on two sides of the room. This allows for a full opening up to the outdoor environment and enhances the experience of family life, cozy summer dinners and uninterrupted views of the pool and garden.
As with most extension projects, the material palette was carefully chosen to match the existing house and create a unified architectural expression. The folding glass doors are a deliberate exception, adding a modern touch while emphasizing the seamless transition between inside and out.
